Stacie and I are helping out with a conference at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and tonight we attended a working dinner meeting.  There were some ice breakers, then the crowd went out on the back deck to take some pictures with the mountains in the background.  I showcase the mountain backdrop in my blog more than I need to (I just can't help it) so I decided to feature the supporting structure of the main lobby of the resort.  We returned to the ballroom for dinner and some presentations.  The usual "why we are here" speeches were spoken and there was a great slide show that explained "who we are doing this for" in plain English.  The conference participants will spend the next few days making the lives of service members and their families a bit more tolerable.  Most American's don't realize the restrictions placed on the lives of our volunteer armed forces.  They are told what to do, when to do it, and where to do it.  The next time you are eating out and you notice a military family doing the same, pick up the check for them as a small "Thank You"!  Who is protecting you while you sleep?
