Our neighbor's flower garden is positioned in such a place as to get some of the magic light that appears in the morning and then again in the afternoon.  The petals were almost completely horizontal and they created their own dramatic shadows.  The rich tones convey the warmth of the afternoon and the center of the flower was firmly holding the delicate petals in place.  When was the last time you stopped to admire one of God's beautiful creations?
