This quick little guy was feeding on all of the blossoms in one of the flower bed scattered throughout our neighborhood.  If you look close you can see the concentration in his eye.  He allowed me to witness his precision hovering as he would made surgical strikes against the unsuspecting anthers and stigmas hiding in the petals.  I don't know what makes hummingbirds so cool, the fact that their wings can beat up to 200 times per second, or that they can reach speeds up to 60 miles per hour, or that some hummingbirds migrate up to 500 miles.  One of our neighbors told me of a place where there are tens of thousands of these amazing birds.  The park rangers have to refill the hundreds of feeders 5 times a day.  Do you allow other people to witness cool things about yourself?
