We've been watching the afternoon storms roll in like clockwork. Colorado Springs is second in the nation for lightning strikes. Stacie and I were once chased down Pike's Peak by lightning and that evening on the news we saw that some campers were killed by the ground current from a lightning strike on the mountain. In 1899 Nikola Tesla moved to Colorado Springs to study lightning and research his revolutionary theories. His work laid the ground work for some amazing technological advances. Colorado Springs is known for its high tech industry and Mr. Tesla had a great deal to do with it. As I sat at traffic lights tonight on the way home from work waiting for lightning it only happened when I put the camera away as I started moving. It appears that lightning is as camera shy as the snake near the golf course. What was your weather like today?
