The planter at the bottom of our stairs contains the hydrangea that we got back in December.  It has come back from near extinction several times but not from the reason you think.  There were beautiful buds and green sprouts thriving when a family of deer came in for an all-you-can eat buffet.  One minute we were watering a promising addition to the back yard, then the next minute we were looking at a twig.  It doesn't matter if it's on the front porch or down off the back deck, the deer find it.  It doesn't quite have a place on the deck but we suspect that the deer would climb up the stairs to get to it.  What do you feed the local wildlife?
