The irony of today's picture is that I took it from the parking lot of a local camera shop.  The magic moment of light faded in just a few seconds as I changed aperture settings and the following frames were not as spectacular.  Normally aircraft in the high altitudes go unnoticed but today they were used as skillful paintbrushes on this theatrical backdrop.  I wonder what this looked like from the top of Pike's Peak.  Have you ever painted on a canvas?
