Well I think this little guy's got the right idea.  After all the extra hours at work to save up time for the holidays, after visiting the Broadmoor to see the gingerbread house display, after going to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to see the animals and the lights, after spending the day at the North Pole, after braving the cold at 7 Falls to see the magnificently frozen waterfalls, after driving to Royal Gorge and walking across the bridge (and watching Taco, Tim and Suraj swing over the edge), after snowmobiling up to the Continental Divide, after sweating out the fact that Elijah was awake when Santa was on his way, after several trips to Denver's airport ... I'm going to go back to work to get some rest!  All kidding aside, I couldn't have asked for a nicer holiday season (except all our kids being here).  The time away from work was very much needed (I left my Blackberry in my desk drawer at work, turned off!).  Seeing family was wonderful.  Living in Colorado Springs anytime is amazing, but at Christmas time with all the lights, snow and hot chocolate nights was the ultimate.  The new year was brought in, family returned to their homes, the house put back in order and now an afternoon of recuperation is badly needed.  How are you holding up after the holiday season?

  1. I went back to work the day after I got back. The funny thing is last week went by so fast, but when I returned to work it seemed like it had been so long since I'd been there.
