Our day started with a nice breakfast at home then moved to the neighborhood next door.  We were worried that the no one would have anything out for sale since our "weathermen" said that another winter blast was settling in today.  As usual, they were wrong and the temperatures were in the blazing 50's.  The news said that the wind was between 30 and 50 mph so the air felt like 30 degrees.   To be fair, there were places that received drifts of snow 5 feet deep.  The bad weather was between Colorado Springs and Denver.  There was only a handful of residents participating in the community yard sale due to the high winds but we found a great deal on two really great lamps ($3 apiece).  We finally finished all the things our contractor left undone today.  It only took 3 tries to get the right hose/connections combination for the water supply line for the new sanitary waste fixture (toilet) in the bathroom.  While we were out shopping for parts we found ourselves staring at the menu pictured here.  We don't eat a lot of fast food so it was difficult to decide on what to order.  I wanted it all.  Afterwards we remembered why we don't eat a lot of fast food.  We are getting ready to walk across the street to a neighbor's house and enjoy "card night".  Hopefully this will be the first of many.  We have family in Louisiana and Texas that play on a regular basis and we thought this would be a great way to get to know our neighbors better.  All in all, a very nice Saturday.  What loose ends did you get to tie up today?

  1. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in that fast food joint. They probably thought you were nuts taking pictures of the menu!
