The wildlife in our neck of the mountains have been preparing for the winters months.  Last weekend when we were in Aspen, one of the tour guides said that the bear have been staying out of the city because there was plenty of food for them in the woods.  We've noticed a sudden decrease in the deer activity in our backyard as well.  The squirrel pictured here (Ralph) has been trying to figure out how to eat from the hummingbird and regular feeder for months.  I hope he has been spending his time wisely looking for other food supplies.  Are you prepared for the colder temperatures and shorter days?
