Stacie and I were noticing today that when you see teenagers these days they are always walking with their heads down totally focused on their phone.  We went into a thrift store and these signs were all over the place.  I'm new to Facebook myself and I'll admit that it is a great way to stay connected with friends and family.  It wasn't long ago that we wrote a letter, picked up the phone, or talked to people one-on-one in order to find out what was happening in their lives.  The other day someone told me that his wife texted to let him know that dinner was ready.  He was 10 feet away.  He said it wasn't an isolated incident and that it is her modus operandi.  I'm not coming down on social networking (this blog reaches many people, OK maybe a couple people, instantly), I'm just worried that the human touch has left our society. It's good to see corporate American embracing technology.  For years, mainstream industry has missed opportunities to fully integrate themselves into our lives.  Today we manually tweet or blog when we fill our car with gas, buy a latte, or mail a package.  Soon businesses will do that for us.  Is it me or is MySpace so last decade?  How do you stay connected?
