It was a long day but we finally made it to Monterey.  I had never been to San Francisco and there were some things I wanted to check off my bucket list.  We went to Treasure Island and took some pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.  We then went to the Crookedest Street in the World which is Lombard Street.  I thought there might be some tourist road kill a couple of times when some enthusiastic picture takers were unconsciously drawn into the street.  After we drove down Lombard Street we headed to San Jose and toured the world famous Winchester Mystery Mansion.  It was amazing.  Mrs. Winchester was the master mind behind this huge home that has 160 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 6 kitchens and is a twisty maze of passageways, stairs that go nowhere and just an all around strange place.  After our GPS unit (Alice) lost its mind, we found our way to Caleena and Rozz's house.  It was rainy and cold but spirits were high as we dined on the water front at Bubba Gumps.  That's all I got to say about that.  Tomorrow we will take a look around Carmel and who knows we might find a Geocache or two.  What topsy turvy crazy things are in your neighborhood?
